Who We Are

The Hot Springs Village Animal Welfare League (HSVAWL) is in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue organization that works cooperatively with the Hot Springs Village Property Owners Association (POA) Animal Control to rescue, vet, and find homes for ALL adoptable cats and dogs that come through POA intake.

AWL has no paid employees and is appreciative of the hard work by the POA animal control officers, who provide valuable service to all animals. AWL pays for food, veterinary expenses and litter for all animals in the shelter building, including strays and lost pets reclaimed by owners, as well as those for adoption.

For all its programs, AWL is dependent upon membership fees and donations, plus a few small grants, and receives no funding from any governmental entity including the POA. All donations are tax deductible.  The AWL expresses gratitude to the volunteers who make these benefits happen and to those guests who support their efforts to save the animals.
